Making Memories

I know that God has so much in store for our little family during this season of preparing to live in Africa. Now that we have a goal for when we hope to be there (June 2013), it has put an urgency in my heart to seize every single moment and make a memory out of it!

The fellas in the family have been planning a Guys Sailing Trip for many months now, and so the gals decided to make our own weekend out of it and meet in Louisiana for some catch-up time of our own! We had a blast, and I think the kiddos did too! Lucy had been talking about going to see YaYa, Poppy, and Hut-Hut (one of her favorite cousins) the whole week prior, and I think the fun memories we made lived up to her anticipation! Here is a glimpse of the action:

It doesn't get much more fun than a Bubbles & Bubble Jet Party!

Rollins as The Abominable Snowman

 Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

A tutu & rainboots are the official attire for blackberry picking!

All ready to pick some berries with Aunt Emmy!

The Blackberry Princess (before Hut-Hut stole her berries and then gobbled them up so he wouldn't have to give them back!)

She forgave him & they were Best Buds once again :)

Swimmin' with the gator!

 Daddy chartering the sailboat

It was also a great time of catching up with old friends, making new friends, and just enjoying time with family that we don't get to see as often as we would like too. Thanks guys for making time to spend with us!!

Lucy getting to meet Dr. Joe at the dental office. She will one day thank him for the role he played in introducing her Mama & Daddy to each other! (Dr. Joe led the medical/dental teams to Belize, which first sparked my interest in mission work...which then led to the eventual meeting of my future hubby!)

Poppy coercing Lucy into eating green beans (this was actually from a few months ago, but the scene hasn't changed much...I think she probably won the battle in the end)
