As our time for this season of being a single-child family comes to a close, I have been trying to fill up every minute of it with memories we will cherish...never again will this family be one of THREE! This week especially has been very full, which has made the days go by quickly. Some of the things we have had on the agenda include:
1. Speaking at a Sunday School class about our call to Africa and what ministry/life will look like there
2. Speaking at a Community Group about the same thing (side note: I wonder if I will humor myself one day with how different- or maybe similar!- life actually is there than what I expect it to be)
3. Going to watch a magician at the library with the cousins
4. Attending a Labor Prep class with my two awesome labor coaches (thank you, Jenn & Derek!)
5. Walking, Walking, Walking, Swimming, & Yoga (hoping this will kick things into high gear soon!)
6. Bible Study (a very therapeutic couple of hours for me, I love those ladies!)
7. Tomorrow having dessert at some friend's home and talking more about Uganda (good thing we really enjoy this topic!)
8. Annual Blueberry Picking Festival with the Cousins tomorrow!!! (ok, so I just made that title up and it's only the 2nd year we are doing it, but boy is it fun! I plan on loading up this year to last me through these hot summer months!)
I know you don't want to hear me blab on about all that we've been doing, so here's some pics that tell the details better than I could.
How have you been enjoying the summer heat so far?
going out for 30th Birthday Dinner- what a handsome date!
getting ready for some pool time! (funny thing is...we were actually just fixing to go on a walk & look for bugs to put in her bug jar. She just insisted on wearing her "sip-suit" to do it. I guess it makes the mission more serious...)
what can I say? The girl likes some bugs! she calls them her pets :)
Annual Blueberry Picking Festival 2011
gobbling them up by the handful!
sweet baby feet...how I could just kiss those toes!
Ya-Ya, we'll miss you this year!
The Loot we brought home...
See ya next year, Blueberry Farm!
Hurry up, Tomorrow! I can't wait for you to be here already!
