Testing! Testing!
Anyone still with us?
I feel like it has been ages since I last updated the blog, but maybe that is because we have been in fast-forward mode for the last 3 weeks and have not had time to even breathe! Rather than bore you with the details (that are all a blur to me right now), here is an update in pictures...
Remember this little house? Yep, it SOLD! I still can not believe how God has provided for us through the speedy sale of this house. We officially have handed over the keys and moved into ministry housing, which will enable us to drastically reduce our lifestyle expenses and save for when we go overseas.

This is what our life has looked like the past month! I'm so glad to finally be UNpacking some boxes instead of loading them up and shipping them off...it was quite emotional at some points, giving away lots & not knowing when I would see other items. Now that we're past that, it's much easier, although there will be another round of down-sizing before we actually leave...

And here is Pure Sweetness on our last day at 5015 Kelly Creek Street! How I will cherish every day we had there...
As soon as we packed everything up, we headed to Louisiana to spend our last Thanksgiving with my family. It was a bittersweet time of giving thanks to God for the wonderful people He has surrounded us with. And next month we get to spend Christmas with Derek's mom- how special!

A Daddy's Girl for sure...
It's a rare thing to have the whole family together!

So, what's next?
Right now, we sit at right around 50% of our support raised in monthly pledges as well as our one-time need to get to the field and set up home. By the end of February, Derek will be transitioning out of his job and we will begin living off of support income so that we can focus all of our attention on completing our fundraising and getting to the field. This will mean a lot of traveling (including a cross-country road trip!) and a month of cross-cultural and language training in Colorado. There is a lot of ground to cover to make it to 100% and not much time work with...
Thank goodness we serve a God who is in the business of making miracles happen!
Will you join us in praying for the upcoming year as we prepare to minister in Uganda? Pray that God would strengthen our faith, increase our endurance, grow our patience, and ultimately make us more like Him. Pray that He would expand our network, give us opportunities to speak about the great work He has invited us to be a part of in Bundibugyo, and that He would be drawing people to our support team in a speedy fashion (but in His perfect timing...)
Thanks, friends!
...now back to potty-training, sleep-training, weaning from the breast, unpacking, and {oh yeah!}support-raising :)...
